Local Oak Park Executive Establishes Professional
Services Firm
OAK PARK, ILLINOIS – Thomas E. Long is pleased to announce the formation of a professional services firm, Solid Oak Consulting, LLC to provide trusted management advisory services to owners of small and medium sized independent businesses in the Oak Park, River Forest and greater Chicago areas. “The most common needs of independent business owners are: improved cash flow, improved profits, increased sales, a future game plan and more time. Many owners are so busy with the daily operation of their businesses, they no longer have time for a personal life,” said Mr. Long. “Solid Oak Consulting, LLC is being formed to help business owners address these issues.”
Mr. Long is an Accredited Executive Associate of The Institute for Independent Business, a not-for-profit research and accreditation organization committed to helping Small and Medium sized Businesses address and resolve their individual business problems. Before his establishment of Solid Oak Consulting, Mr. Long had over 30 years experience as a senior executive and management consultant, working with some of the largest business enterprises in the country including Procter & Gamble, Ernst & Young, R.R. Donnelley, Andersen Consulting and Computer Associates. He has experience in all aspects of business operations, including: strategic planning, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, human resource management and technology management. He has planned and executed major startup and turnaround programs in both small and large companies. He has managed large-scale organizations and projects across local, regional, national, and international venues. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated the ability to work with key business executives to successfully identify/analyze business problems, define strategic solutions to these problems, and implement those solutions.
